Connecting People with People Since 1996

In response to the growing need for in-home assistance, the St. Thomas Holy Spirit Lutheran Church family developed the outreach ministry Christian Community Homecare. Our program has been in operation since 1996. We are indeed dedicated to providing services that help individuals maintain their independence while remaining in the comfort of their own homes.

We provide non-medical care with patience and compassion. Our goal of our ministry is to connect people with people to enrich the lives of others. We offer companionship, meal preparation, light housekeeping, errand running, transportation and a variety of other tasks that help our clients remain in their home. Our fee is $18.75 per hour (4 hour minimum) (2 hour minimum for Transportation only). We provide service to the areas of South County, South City and parts of Jefferson County.

Our office is located directly inside St. Thomas/Holy Spirit Lutheran Church.

Our Caregivers

Caregiving is a calling. Caregivers are people who truly want to help others any way they can. Our caregivers are caring, reliable individuals who are interested in providing companionship and care to those who find it difficult to attend to their everyday living needs.

Our caregivers are carefully selected and directly represent St. Thomas/Holy Spirit Lutheran Church. Some employees are members of our congregation while others are from the surrounding community.

Each potential caregiver must pass a nationwide background check prior to employment. For everyone's safety, each is bonded and insured through the church. We offer on-going training to all of our caregivers throughout the year.
